Well, it's official, my computer is dead.

The people at the shop said that something is shorted and they charge 4.5k for the troubleshooting. I don't think they were ripping me off because they didn't push me to get the troubleshooting. They didn't even charge me for the consult.

So, I believe them.

That said, I advocate for repair instead of getting new stuff all the time.

The laptop is six years old and I've had to have the following replaced: hdd, battery, keyboard, screen.

At this point, should I keep fighting for it?

Right now, it feels like it's time to get a new one because the repair costs might be too much this time that it might not be worth it.

Not that either option is accessible for me at this time.

Even getting a repair would not be possible for me.

Being in between jobs has just become more difficult right now.
