To “Korea Foods Ltd” in Surrey, UK importers of Japanese “Golden Curry” and other foodstuffs: Please stick your English ingredients stickers in the bottom left corner (covering the German, French & Dutch instructions rather than the English instructions).
I do know what I’m doing, but the suggested quantities, and the #CurryRoux to water ratio in particular are important and vary brand to brand of #JapaneseCurry.
@KuramaSuben almost certainly the English language text on it didn’t meet UK food labeling laws (in particular the ingredients like grams of sugar, and maybe possible allergens - note the underlined ingredients).
This kind of sticker is common on legally imported processed foods in the UK. I presume EU too.

I have never seen a German sticker on top of German text that's already there anyway, but I'm not that often in Germany these days, so there might have been changes I'm not aware of. @shimst3r , do you have better info than me Urashima Tarō here.
Anyway, law deviations make sense for the double labelling. Too bad they forgot to include the cooking instruction...
@KuramaSuben @shimst3r That’d be a good solution - but a bigger sticker with more translated text would got more money 🤷
In this case the UK specific sticker placement could be better. But staff training costs time and money too - and they must have to label hundreds of different products. A logistical challenge!
