#Mastodon changed their Company Form from "gGmbH" to "GmbH", this means they are now longer Non-profit. Not a good sign. For a long time now they do not listen to the Community anymore, forcing people to use Forks like #GlitchMastodon and now this.. I do not know what to say anymore.

@gremlin And Glitch seems to be barely independent at all, they went along with all the Masto 4 changes.

If anyone wants to help me maintain Masto 3, we could make it a proper fork!

@gremlin They lost their non-profit status before and now are only adjusting the terminology. They have longer term plans of switching to a Belgian non-profit, while also having the US one.

I can't evaluate if this is a realistic situation of a well-intentioned non-profit having been founded in Germany, it might be. I agree about the forks.
