The #US has finalized its withdrawal from the #WorldHealthOrganization, one year after #Trump announced the US was ending its 78-yr-old commitment….

But it’s hardly a clean break.

The US owes >$130 million to the global #health agency, according to #WHO. And Trump admin officials acknowledge that they haven’t finished working out some issues, such as lost access to data from other countries that could give America an early warning of a new #pandemic.

@xankarn 🧵 What I can say is not a serious statistic. But I like to listen to visitors' conversations in the cafeteria of our museum (France, close to the German border). So far, everything has been against Trump. Since the attack on Iran, which violated international law, more and more people are talking about a new axis of evil: The USA and Israel are positioned at the side of Putin and North Korea. And this is done in full awareness that the regime in Iran are also major criminals.

People also don't understand why no one in the USA is finally stopping a completely derailed president (who can use nuclear weapons). This damage will remain for years.
