I'd rather a simple "no thanks"

A US.domainname suggests it’s some gigantic mega-corporation, huh?
Nah, that’s the subdomain, it could be the start of any company’s email address – you could happily own and send from [email protected], for example.
I don’t think this is AI tbh. Crap like this is where AI learned to talk like that. I’ve been getting these kind of emails way before LLMs were a thing
Schrodinger’s em dash
There’s no space between the dash though. AI does em dash like – this, and the email did it like–this.

That’s not an emdash in your comment.

Here are the three dashes: em dashes (—), en dashes (–) , and hyphens (-)

It’s the width that makes the em dash so noticeable in ai content.

I know, but you know what I meant. It’s the spaces next to the em dash which scream AI. If there aren’t spaces, then it’s probably not AI.
i usually put spaces around em dashes because it’s slightly more readable. i hate LLMs so much
right, good, that’s also for humans to do. But LLMs exclusively do it that way too.
Yeah this screams templated email to me. You don’t need an AI to sound generic, you can just use a generic template. With the number of emails they send out I seriously doubt they want to spend the money on rejection emails generated by an AI.
I still think this one is AI, but either way the way this worded feels very patronizing. Just a completely hollow message. Should probably cross post to work reform or something.

This reads more like a standard form rejection letter than a slop rejection letter.

Most companies would want them to be form letters so they don’t end up sued by someone who thinks they were rejected go a protected reason.

I’d feel more considered if I’d gotten no email at all

I hate when I get ghosted. A rejection email lets me close the loop with that company. Otherwise, I feel like “there’s still a chance!” and that’s worse.

Same energy.

“Ew. Ew brotha, ewwww. We don’t want you. You stinky. GTFO and never apply again, poopyhead.”
Hey at least that’d be funny
This is how they’ve done rejections for the last 25 years. Form letters. Not AI in this case. Also waayyyyy better than being ghosted. When you’re ghosted, you have no idea if they saw your application or if they’re still considering or what. There’s an anxiety that a job offer could come through after you accept another offer and what if they offer a bit more money? It becomes a whole thing. Honestly, I’d rather receive an actual AI rejection than be ghosted.

As I continued to bolster my skills, resume and connections any company that ghosted me I’ve ghosted or blacklisted.

Now, 10 years later with an in-demand skill set I have companies reach out to interview, and if it’s a company who’s ghosted me in the past I either ghost them, or tell them “Due to past experiences of being ghosted by your company, I won’t interview.”

I really do encourage people to just treat these companies the same, don’t give them the time of the day.

Im tired of the media still trying to convince us the econmy is good when we are clearly in a depression and the worst job market sine the 2008 crash.
bu…but the lines are going up!
Not for you , they are going down for you personnally

honestly…my lines are going up crazy good, stock market is honestly easy as fuck way to make $, to a point.

little bit of risk tolerance and basic understanding of underlying market mechanics (legal and technically not legal) makes gambling like shooting fish in barrel, but there are scaling/reward for time-effort issues past like 6 figs

the “pros” do challenges like “how quickly can i turn this 500$ account into 50k”, just for shits and giggles.

all these rich cunts ratfucking our public funds all the time through backroom deas? all of them throw their $ into the stock market cause they have nowhere else to put it, building various bubbles. eventually, republicans come into power and play disaster capitalist, force austerity on to anyone but themselves to stress the system with the goal of purposefully popping the bubbles. have done this cycle many times over by now

I had a company tell me I wasn’t senior enough after my final interview (6 interviews.) the final interview consisted of 2 people who only have a job because I turned down that job years ago for another job.

I have a feeling companies just want to bring down people’s skills to lower the wages now. I have 10 yrs of experience.

I’m a recruiter, this is 100% their default rejection template. It’s pretty standard, but at least they let you know! I’ve been looking for a new role lately and you’re lucky to get that DQ email and not just ghosted.

Yeah. I’ll take a soft-no form letter if they ditched me vs the ghosting i got last time around.

A dear friend on the last of her reserves is waiting to hear from one of the last few interviews she’ll get in her house if she doesn’t land something within weeks. And she loves that house. We don’t have the heart to tell her they’ve ghosted her since Friday as it’ll break her.

What specifically makes this AI? They’ve been sending emails like that for years if not decades.
