The MacBook Neo is basically the Walmart M1 MacBook Air. But new.

Their specs are a bit different: Neo has a better webcam, display, CPU/NPU. M1 Air had a better GPU, battery, a Force Touch trackpad.

Both had 8GB memory.

Both had 256GB storage.

Both were $599.

@snazzyq so sad because the RAM and storage compromises make these products effectively ewaste from day one. My wife cheaped out and bought a base spec M1 air and very quickly hit its limits doing basic web browsing and document editing. She didn’t make that mistake again with her M4. Cost was a tough pill to swallow, but for a 5+ year computer a few hundred bucks doesn’t matter.
