@HeyCallMeRed Markers for proxy art is such a good move. There's something about hand-drawn proxies that printed ones can't touch. What brand did you go with?
@GrimDeck I used Ohuhu acryllic markers; previously I was using Ohuhu alcohol markers. idk anything about marker brands, but these have worked well for me.
@HeyCallMeRed Oh nice, Ohuhu makes solid stuff for the price. Interesting that you switched from alcohol to acrylic — do you find the acrylics layer better on card stock? Alcohol markers can bleed through sometimes.
@GrimDeck I'm just trying them out and so far, I like them for different things: The acryllic stays bright no matter how many layers go on, whereas the alcohol gets darker where the strokes overlap; this makes the acryllic better for filling in large areas of color, but the alcohol better for shading. I need to do some testing to see if I can layer alcohol over acryllic, because if so I can have the best of both worlds.
@HeyCallMeRed That layering idea is really smart! Acrylic base for solid coverage, then alcohol on top for shading depth. Would love to see how the test turns out if you try it.
