I've been running my own mail server for I guess about a year now I think. I learned a lot going through and setting it all up and configure everything to ensure mail gets delivered and rejecting obvious spam and it's been working pretty well. I just had a small batch of spam make it through, and one thing I don't understand is how an email gets delivered to an email address that isn't in the To field. Strange. These headers for these emails are CRAZY long.
I guess it's time for me to finally get around to setting up #SpamAssassin on my #Email server. A while ago I had set up auto rejecting of emails that didn't meet basic levels of authentication and grey listing and that seemed to take care of any #Spam I had been getting for a bit, but now I'm getting a handful a day that are making it through. Seems the more sophisticated spammers have discovered me.
