Itās been going to shit for years, but it is almost incomprehensible how quickly it has fallen in the last 6-12 months. If I try to find any review/comparison in an attempt to be a somewhat informed consumer, and itās just all slop.
OtterWe need a browser extension with a whitelist for accounts that are either verified, or created before 2022. If the extension gets popular and people start buying old accounts to post spam on, then it would also need a blacklist for confirmed spammers.

Capitalism makes it worth it to setup an Agent and 50 new channels on YT that does nearly the same. It doesnāt matter how many people gets spammed as long as some views are amassed. It already happens in normal biz on all levels. All AI āslopā is just Capitalist slop. Really, itās only there to make money.
I find them annoying too, but unfortunately, AI accelerates the Capitalist enshittification we see everywhereā¦
schnurritoI miss the days when making money from posting things on the Internet wasnāt really a (widespread) thing. In the earliest days of YouTube there was no partner program, everyone who uploaded anything there did so out of enthusiasm; if we still had that, maybe weād have fewer videos overall, but no one would have a reason to post AI slop or other low-quality videos just for profit.

Also. You can use one of the third-party YouTube clients available for Linux to have more way to filter off content and ads (sadly It wonāt filter off the Ai slop, at least for now). One of the most used is Piped.

If youāre wondering about Fedora vs CachyOS, it comes down to what you do on your PC. And what youāre used to.
If you want better āpreconfigurationā for graphics stuff, CachyOS is the way to go. With Fedora you will end up referencing and maintaining a whole lot more yourself, while the CachyOS maintainers basically do all that maintinance and config optimization for you.
But Fedora might be better for a less GPU-focused āworkstationā type system.
Generally, Iād look at the āstyleā and interests of distro maintainers. CachyOS is built by a collective of linux gaming/compute enthusiasts that snowballed into popularity, though it does inherit all the work from Arch. Fedora is a long standing workstation/server workhorse, a āpre releaseā for Red Hat enterprise linux.

The dude was literally in a shed in the woods, and in between his moments of gearhead genius, he would tell amazing, random stories about his life and philosophies. It was just this guy hanging out in a big shed in the woods, working on old bikes. The videos were like an hour and a half of him just wrenching and dumping wisdom. They only had like 500-1000 views each and I was honestly flabbergasted that he didnāt gave some big cult fandom.

Both are wonderful. I still recommend Fedora to most new users, but ai decided to test drive CachyOS almost year ago and then never went back. Cachy is so cozy.

Unfortunately YT is a lost battle b/c they do not allow downvoting or blocking. In the search results or related videos they are peddling the same AI shit, without people being able to block channels.

Eh, Itās nice to see someone showcase things in a video format. Itās sometimes hard to find the right blog and ones that arenāt opinionated.
I donāt JUST watch videos to learn things, I google, check Forums, ask AI, watch videos etc. and then try to form a picture based on all the info I have
