@ishe So… what are your favourite pens and pencils? 🙂

@amenonsen I AH-DORE the Zebra brand; particularly the Sarasa series -- they're aesthetically pleasing as well as smooth ink flow that rarely smudges or bleeds on the paper I use. My most recent acquisition has been the Zebra Sarasa Clip set in Vintage colors. I'm using them both to draw and to journal with.

For a standard number 2 pencil, I enjoy the Tri-Conderoga Black as it has a triangular shape that doesn't hurt my hands. Going along with that, I also enjoy Staedtler's colored pencils which can also be found in triangular shapes.

For a fountain pen, I love my Lamy Safari and my Preppys.

You're actually the very first person to ask this. Thanks for letting me infodump.

@ishe

Looks like I can get Zebra Sarasa Clip pens fairly easily/inexpensively here. I'll try them out sometime!

I've always had a thing for stationery (who doesn't, I guess?), though I don't indulge much, or keep up with the latest developments.

Recently, I've been on the lookout for white marking pencils to use on wood and metal etc. in the workshop. I've found a few good ones (and I know the ones people recommend, though they are not all easily available here). But then I bought some that looked very promising…

…and they're just the worst. Impossible to sharpen without breaking the "lead", wears away incredibly quickly, and look at what happened to this one! (This is just from gentle use.)

@amenonsen oh no, that's pretty bad. I've been try to learn how to properly use white coloring pencils, but that's been a tough one. At least mine haven't broken like that. Maybe research white marking pencils known for their sturdiness and do comparison shopping. I would also recommend checking reviews on them to further inform research.
