Not Parent Expected refers to situations where one learns that their parent[s] aren't who they believed them to be. So... if I grow up calling my dad "Dad" and then one day, I learn that actually, my biological father is my mother's high school sweetheart whom I've never met & I've a whole other family I never knew and the man I've called "dad" my whole life is a biological | genetic stranger to me.
