When the Snowden revelations covered the extent of NSA SIGINT surveillance, I thought they were silly when they said “but our data is safe in a bunker" because that's clearly the wrong solution to that problem which is technical and requires encryption. But in the age of drones, hypersonic missiles ... flying around, bunker data centers do unfortunately address and mitigate a practical threat.
