Breaking, new, by me: Iran-backed Hackers Claim Wiper Attack on Medtech Firm Stryker

A hacktivist group with links to Iran's intelligence agencies is claiming responsibility for a data-wiping attack against Stryker, a global medical technology company based in Michigan. News reports out of Ireland, Stryker's largest hub outside of the United States, said the company sent home more than 5,000 workers there today. Meanwhile, a voicemail message at Stryker's main U.S. headquarters says the company is currently experiencing a building emergency.

From the story:

"Wiper attacks usually involve malicious software designed to overwrite any existing data on infected devices. But a trusted source with knowledge of the attack who spoke on condition of anonymity told KrebsOnSecurity the perpetrators in this case appear to have used a Microsoft service called Microsoft Intune to issue a ‘remote wipe’ command against all connected devices."

"Intune is a cloud-based solution built for IT teams to enforce security and data compliance policies, and it provides a single, web-based administrative console to monitor and control devices regardless of location. The Intune connection is supported by this Reddit discussion on the Stryker outage, where several users who claimed to be Stryker employees said they were told to uninstall Intune urgently."

Release 2603 is live! In this Progress Report, we improved the NAS experience, have an epic tale of a math bug and the community that would not give up, patched more games, doubled the performance of Rogue Squadron III, and more!

Dolphin Progress Report: Release 2603

Dolphin started out as a GameCube emulator in 2003. In 2008, experimental Wii support was added. And now, in 2026, Dolphin enters the realm of arcade emulation with support for the Sega, Namco, and Nintendo arcade effort, the Triforce, finally arriving. Want to learn more about the Triforce? Check out our deep dive into the Triforce and how it ended up back in Dolphin! Emulating a new system and library of games for the first time in 18 years is big news, and we'll dive into some details and updates on that later in the report. However, there are two other major additions that would have been flagship changes on their own in any other report. Optimizations to Dolphin's MMU emulation have brought major performance uplifts to games that rely on custom page table mappings. In fact, on powerful hardware, all Full MMU games can run full speed, including the legendary Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. On the other side of things is a targeted fix that took an inordinate amount of effort. An epic tale that spanned years of frustration. In the end, the incredible efforts of the Mario Strikers Charged community combined with several CPU emulation experts finally cracked the case of a minor physics bug that would normally be impossible to see or test. All that and more awaits in this release's jam-packed notable changes!

NEW: The pro-Iran hacktivists Handala claim to have hacked U.S. medical tech giant Stryker. Some company systems have been wiped, causing disruptions and outages worldwide.

The hakctivists said the attack was "in retaliation for the brutal attack on the Minab school," which killed dozens of kids.

“In this operation, over 200,000 systems, servers, and mobile devices have been wiped and 50 terabytes of critical data have been extracted. Stryker’s offices in 79 countries have been forced to shut down,” the hackers wrote in a message posted online.
