@simonharper I rarely travel, and I currently have a 16" model, so I am used to the weight. I don't code for a living anymore, but I do tinker in XCode. I also use GarageBand and I may switch to Logic, so I feel the Air is not quite enough. At home I have a 27" 4K monitor to plug it in to when I need the screen real estate.
The biggest issue is cost, I guess, and can I live with a 14" screen when not at my desk.
@Sonofasailor Cool. Personally if I could I'd go for the larger screen on a Pro - especially of you will be using Logic. But my M1 Air is big enough for me when travelling and I have a 4K desktop screen when working from home. The new Air I would go for the larger screen though when it's time to upgrade.
