@daringfireball I think this can apply to many of Apple's highest end products - too expensive for most casual use, but if it accelerates/improves your job, the price generally isn't an issue.

@jranft @toddheberlein @daringfireball Indeed. I still don’t think the “base” 27” can compete with the cheaper alternatives from Asus, BenQ et al. A stiffer stand is no match for a decent VESA mount in value terms.
