I was wondering if such books exist, and I am glad to have heard about this one today, which is written for a general audience.

Lasara Firefox Allen:
"Genderqueer Menopause
Navigating Menopause for Trans, Gender-Nonconforming, Genderfluid, and Other Queer-Bodied Folx"

#genderqueer #trans #genderfluid #menopause #book #nonfiction

@amalia12 Have you read it?

@artcollisions

As I have written in my first toot, "I am glad to have heard about this one today", so no, I haven't read it yet. But it has been recommended by Enfys, here:

@amalia12 Oh, sorry. I'm a bit out of it this afternoon. Thanks for your patience and for including the reference you got it from!
@artcollisions No problem and you're welcome. 🙂
@amalia12 I'm collecting perimenopause resources, so it's good to have ones that are recommended by people.

@amalia12 @artcollisions Have you seen Heather Corinna's book as well? It is genderqueer-inclusive rather than genderqueer-focussed, but by a nonbinary author. Haven't read it, but heard good things :)

What Fresh Hell Is This? by Heather Corinna | Massy Books

What to Expect When You’re Not Expected to Expect Anything Anymore Did you see the title and flame-filled cover of this book, and did your weary, sweaty, confused, and exasperated soul scream, That one! That is the book for me!!? If so, I’d first like to extend my deepest sympathies, an ice pack, and some of these very helpful edibles.

@beandreams @artcollisions

Thanks. I have now ordered "Genderqueer Menopause" in my favourite book store, but it's good to know that there are similar resources, too.

@amalia12 I've read it and appreciated it so much! Menopause is often so woman-coded it was a relief to read something that was for me. Heather Corinna's book "What Fresh Hell is This?" is also fabulous and my a nonbinary author too!

@amalia12 it's really just a personal experience. I wouldn't read something like that. But this is because mtf trans wouldn't ever experience the change, ftm trans would only experience it if they had a hysterectomy and "bottom" surgery.l shortly after the hysterectomy. And my body altering surgeries were not related to my gender neutrality. At all.

Interesting title, but as a critic, I don't think you'd get tonsell many copies trying to publish something of that nature.
