tuban_muzuru[raises hand tentatively] I was raised Evangelical. I hear this a lot, about how Christians feel they can accelerate Judgment Day by backing Israel.
Far too simplistic and mostly wrong.
Evangelicals, like LDS, is a Total Lifestyle. There's a place in the church for little tiny babies and when you die, your coffin goes on the altar.
And everything and every moment in between.
These guys want to get their own people elected to power now, very much in the here and now - the eschatology kinda weird but I guess a few people might believe it.... but seriously, they seek political power just like everyone else.
