I heard enough stories to know that when a company goes public (IPO), they often need to build a nice-sounding story about themselves in their S-1 filing.
While these are official SEC filings, we all know stories are meant to be taken with a grain of salt.
But when you hear the next company to IPO allegedly is going to say “building a Dyson Swarm in the solar system”, you know it is going to need a giant pile of unhealthy salt to the palate. 😂
In all seriousness — I wonder when the current arrangement of capitalism is going to end.
It has always been that middle/upper middle classes are allowed to enjoy their share of equity growth through stock ownership.
With the acknowledgement that this is already leaving a large swath of people in society behind — I wonder when public stock markets become unpalatable with even richer people are shutting stock-owning public out. Or dump their losses on them.
It may already be happening.
