So my code stopped running because it couldn't allocate VRAM.

I looked at nvidia-smi and niri compositor ate 8 GB VRAM over last couple weeks.

So I restarted my PC, which applied the auto-update for Zed. That auto-update contained a critical regression so the editor doesn't launch now.

And that kinda broke my flow so I forgot I had some code written and not committed, checked out a commit to test something else, and that checked out the submodule and wiped changes.

@zeux good, I'm just enjoying a oatmeal and cortado at Roblox HQ while mentally examining some bug I introduced into the server authority system.
last year I used your metal compute shader layer to experiment with gpu physics for hack week. I was bummed I didn't win. Anyways thanks for helping build this. Happy to be here.
