@404mediaco To some extent I can forgive individuals using apps for not knowing this. But this is why I get so pissed off when I hear fellow developers using any of the big tech advert stuff in apps they are making. Some don't realize it, others accept it because it's free.

And this is also why the third-party doctrine is such bullshit. Sure people are "willingly" giving up private information to a third-party, if by willing you mean that they have no idea that this shit is happening.

@404mediaco when people ask why I block ads, tracking and other telemetry this is a great example of why! We don't live under a fascist regime yet in the UK (getting there though) but blocking this stuff is a good habit to get into now, IMO.
