@condret That is very likely not the target group of that Swedish startup either.
Any entity must comply with their local law or the law of where they operate, on that note.
There may be very few countries with exceptions.

Plus, anyone may self-host Forgejo. The startup could do that, and, of course, contribute to its development, which is what really gains Europe the self-sovereignty discussed here.
