@Betty Yeah! Like, is it actually when someone's purl stitches are tensioned poorly compared to their knit stitches?? I think that is what I am getting but people make it sound so fucking complicated.
@the_wanlorn I would say "sufficiently different" rather than poorly. Like, I think my knit is probably too tight, rather than my purl is too loose.
But it's called "rowing out" because it makes really badly visible rows in stockinette. It's especially visible in the middle of this swatch
