People got upset when GitHub (rightfully) called out usability/accessibility issues with toasts.

And now, I have to deal with some thought leaders’ anti take on it to my teams because they wanted to get attention for playing devils advocate.

Tech “thought leaders” tend to make my job harder 🙃

@annaecook It’s amazing how often “thought leader” means “attention seeker” and how often that’s also combined with “a bit too ignorant of both detail and wider context to have an actually smart take”.

I most often see it as a synonym for “Idea men”; outsourcing the actual work to whoever heard them and got annoyed enough to refute or chase. Professional nerd-pokers.
