I’ve watch gender marginalized, queer, BIPOC, disabled and neurodivergent friends get forced out of jobs and outright fired for existing at themselves.

I’ve seen them have so little system support that we all lend a hand to keep each other going.

But it’s bad out here. I’ve never seen it this bad.

Many of my peers and friends have spent the past few years barely getting by.

Hard working talented people.

It is a very millennial thing this much persistent struggle.

We’ve been through too many things, fought tooth and nail for the minimum.

How could I not want change?

I’m finding expectations of increased productivity to be impossible even with supposed “AI superpowers”

Yes, LLMs can rapidly process words and turn them into to summaries and tasks

But it doesn’t make the context switching between multiple tasks easier, we aren’t designed to process so much.

Excuse me I thought counting how long I made eye contact and then looked away to ensure it wasn't too much eye contact was how we all worked.
If a friend was posting all night on social media and uploading images of them self as a holy fig—I mean doctor, I’d be calling for a wellness checkup on them tbh

Another wild fear tactic being pressed on tech workers right now is the “permanent underclass.”

Idk anyone who’s is worried about this myself.

But to those who are worried about this:

Class struggles will not be fixed by getting “in” on AI. It’ll be fixed by collective action and labor rights.

Girl don’t take on the Pope what are you doing
