The new names better reflect the variety of research projects underway at the centers.
Their projects employ other animals, computational and human-tissue methods in addition to nonhuman #primates. »

The Washington and Tulane National Biomedical Research Centers—formerly called National Primate Research Centers—say they made the change to better reflect the breadth of research performed at the centers.
