Not vegan, but I sub for this quite a lot. The last 10 years have been great for getting it to taste and feel like the real thing.
I am glad to see it getting better flavored and textures.

Also not vegan, just have a digestive system that doesn’t do well with a meat heavy diet, but I find that I prefer the meat substitutes that don’t mimic meat very closely. Just wildly interesting flavor combos that make mealtime a ✨unique adventure ✨
Like sausages that had a flavor of apple and sage, ooh man did those make a good breakfast. Wish they hadn’t been discontinued. I’ve tried tons of weird combos over the years. Many sucked but they were all interesting to try, and I’ve got to assume since they have actual flavor, they didn’t have to rely so heavily on unhealthy ingredients to make it appealing.
Then again, I find meat to be a fairly boring samey flavor, so don’t eat a whole lot of it anyway. Why bother if it’s a nothingburger? And the meat-flavored meat substitutes have been largely close enough in the past few years to trigger that “meh” reaction, so in that regard, success!
