I thought about posting about my favorite film of all time, but that's hard because sometimes it shifts with my mood. Then I thought "Well, the Top 5 is pretty static," but is it?

So, I'll just do #AMovieADay until I run out of films or forget or get bored. #Movies #Film #Cinema

One of my favorite #Movies of all time is Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Seeing the original film is my earliest memory, so watching the sequel in 1980 was MIND-BLOWING. The worldbuilding, the revelations, Yoda, the suspense until the next movie! #AMovieADay #Film #Cinema #StarWars

Another one of my favorite #movies of all time: Mononoke Hime, aka Princess Mononoke. A film from Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli, it wasn't the first anime I'd ever seen, but it was the first one that made me sit up and take notice that "Hey, these are SERIOUS films." It is so freakin' good.

And it's all HAND-DRAWN animation.

@JediSoth one of the greatest art I would say.

@JediSoth It was only my second Miyazaki, but catching its IMAX re-release last year caused me to watch all his films over the next month. All were marvelous, but none topped Mononoke for me.

Side note: while primarily hand-drawn, it was the first movie where Miyazaki experimented with digital techniques, mostly digital painting in a few scenes.

@JediSoth I love this one too. We need to make time for more Miyazaki.
