@ErikJonker @geopolitics That's bloody stupid. Almost all of those gulf countries have amassed huge wealth from oil. They did not properly build up their military for this. That's their problem. Europe should spend more on defending their 'backyard' ie Ukraine. If they increase their support to Ukraine now, Russia will be on the backfoot. The Middle East can help themselves, if they haven't got the means, they can buy them. Plenty of money there. They just don't want to spend it on military stuff. Only on their own luxury stuff. Stuff them.

@ErikJonker @geopolitics Europe is 4 years late helping Ukraine to defend from missiles and drones. Middle East is far away, Ukraine is in Europe. We all have to stop Russia (and discourage) invading any country.

@ErikJonker Hm, waht I read in the news today is that Ukraine will help the Brits to defend Kuweit from Shahed drones. This is the new reality that we should get used to. As to Ukraine, the matter is not even that we should of course also support Ukraine with what we have, the matter is that we should finally realize we need to cooperate with Ukraine to defeat Russia. If Russia is not defeated, a hardened slavonic army under Russian lead will sooner or later wage ware on us.
