In the next weeks we will see an intensification of attacks both on Zack Polanski & the Green Parties, as the Right media realise actually both GPEW & the SGs represent a real challenge to their man Farage delivering the country to the Far Right.

We can expect lies, distortion & extrapolations all intended to demonise the Greens, but given the new social networks the progressive left increasingly uses (like this one) unlike previous campaigns this one may be less successful.

@ChrisMayLA6 Well done for recognising that there are multiple green parties :)

You cannot hope to bribe or twist
(thank God!) the British journalist.
But, seeing what the man will do
unbribed, there's no occasion to.

@ChrisMayLA6 what I've found interesting about the press coverage, even from less right-wing outlets, is how poor the analysis is and how little info journalists have about GPEW.

The FT thinks GPEW policies have changed because it's now full of ex-Labour supporters. Wrong, policies are the same.

Ros Taylor on 'oh God What Now' had a racist take, saying it's "clever" for a white working class candidate to speak to that group, but "sectarian" for Muslim Greens to address Muslim voters.

@Talia

Yes, I think for a lot of the media, the GPEW in Gorton & Denton was like reset t zero - they'd not been paying any real attention (although to be fair to the FT they have covered the GPEW a *bit* in the last hear or so)

@ChrisMayLA6

Yes, and most of the analysis is about what Labour now needs to do and completely ignores what Greens are doing. So they may stay on the back foot, with little understanding. It will be interesting to see how much they learn, or don't, between now and May.
