You know that alley behind the train station? Doesn’t get much exposure to road traffic, but cyclists, pedestrians and transit users appreciate it. The coffee kiosk does a steady trade year round. The only other business in the laneway is a timeshare; sometimes it’s a jeweler, at others a pawnshop or a dry cleaner. Yes /those/ kind of establishments, variable in time and space; they rotate in and out of our continuum every two days. The changeover is always at 9:57pm, for some reason. Nobody knows (or tells) where they go besides here-now. I’ll let you know if I get back; I’m hanging up now and putting my phone on stowaway mode. Luv ya.

Seeing different writers' takes on the same prompt is also a delight.

Continuing on an intro isn't the same as working from the same prompt, though. I don't know that Kit wants to invite people to add on to her story start tumblr-style.

Or perhaps the the intent is that the narrator never returns, and whomever they were addressing (and we the readers) never find out what happened to them.

@kelkyag @Tuftears I adore it when folks post their next chapter. It’s pretty rare for me to have any plan of where a story might go past the first post. Remember these are being written while the power-on-self-test messages scroll up my visual field during Initial Coffee Load. Minimum Viable Plot.

I do follow a few hashtags, but most of the ones that've caught my eye turn out to be too busy for me, too cluttered with off-topic things to be interesting, or both.

I appreciate that you keep a story blog! Haven't sat down with it yet, though.
