I don’t get it. I’ve been careful to keep my iPhone 17’s battery between 20% and 90%, yet the battery health is already down to 98%. I’ve only had it since October.
@JeroenSchaper that’s pretty bad. In contrast my 16 pro max battery is at 91% and is around 16 months old.
@duncandesi9n @JeroenSchaper FWIW my 15 Pro Max which I got on basically release day is at 86% and while I have charge limit set to 80%, i'm constantly plugging and unplugging it
@keir @duncandesi9n Odd that it’s way worse on my end. I did let it dip below 10% twice, but that shouldn’t be the issue. At this point I’m kinda done caring about it 😅 I seem to need the extra 40% juice anyways.

@JeroenSchaper @duncandesi9n haha yeah I mean no matter what you do, it’s gonna drop. Admittedly it seems to have dropped faster than I’d expect but 🤷🏻‍♂️

My MBP’s battery health has dropped really quite quickly, certainly much quicker than I’d expect but I use it plugged in 95% of the time so I don’t really get why with that either 😂

@keir @JeroenSchaper yeah I used to worry about making sure my iPhone never dropped below 20% but then you have those odd days where it runs out because you’re out and about and can’t get to a charger or whatever. After a while a started not fussing so much.

@duncandesi9n @keir Those days mine dropped below 20 as well. And I need to charge it twice on my office day (I get up at 4AM).

I also keep mine on a charger (cable) during the night. Perhaps that’s a habit I should get rid of. But I’m also at the point of not caring anymore and just charging it to 100%, like I said earlier.
