HalcyonI've gone down a deep rabbit hole working on a strange new project: a standalone After Dark module player for modern macOS. No OS emulation or ROM required -- just the original classic Mac OS AD module files! I can't believe this is working!
twvd@halcyon this is awesome! Might be a cool idea to port it to wasm and put a web gallery online of the entire After Dark collection :)
@twvd That's an interesting idea for sure! I know there's prior art and established precedent with Infinite Mac, archive.org and probably others, but I'm fuzzy on the legality of hosting abandonware in this way -- need to understand this better before I stick my neck out.
Also thanks for your work on Snow! Just learned about this project. I haven't gotten this set up quite yet, but the deep inspection and debugging tools look incredibly useful as I work out how to run AD 3.0+ modules.
