Finally, another updated diagram on my blog: the 2026 🇩🇰 #Denmark 🚂 rail diagram with a slightly modified layout. It is one of my oldest diagrams. It is also the one in which the sea is most dominant. The islands allow for a little cheating in terms of size, in order to fit the differently dense rail network.

@xgebi @larstransportworld @jon there were plans to extend the line from Vejle to Give with a branch to Billund. But since it is only a single track, this would have led to fewer/slower trains on the existing track. Somehow this resulted in calculated net losses for society, even if the extension was free. Since the project was unpopular by some local elected politicians I believe it is either cancelled or simply ignored. So car and bus are the only options to Billund airport etc
