Does someone know if there are #OpenSource - maybe self hosted or #fediverse based - alternatives for #Pinterest? It is something I use as a photographer (yes I do other stuff next to trains 😄) for inspiration or sharing ideas, but the service is becoming rather trashy.

The moderation system sees sometimes perfectly normal pictures of clothed persons as “sexual content” and there is an increase in AI-slop.

Morning, have you tried looking on goeuropean.org?
People put alternatives to tech and products on there and they show the following

https://www.pearltrees.com/

There is also eutechmap.com and https://european-alternatives.eu/ to find alternatives 🙂

@coreice I too am interested! My wife is a prolific pin’er and she’s been unhappy with the changes. I was thinking it doesn’t look too hard to code it up but I’m kind of busy, lol. I will check out some of these links too. Let us know if/when you settle on a solution!
