Finally, another updated diagram on my blog: the 2026 🇩🇰 #Denmark 🚂 rail diagram with a slightly modified layout. It is one of my oldest diagrams. It is also the one in which the sea is most dominant. The islands allow for a little cheating in terms of size, in order to fit the differently dense rail network.

@larstransportworld It would be cool to have a companion diagram for 1956. Denmark probably has the most transformed network in Europe.
@partim @larstransportworld I found this diagram in my archive, but it obviously does not show train frequency and I also do not actually know how old it is. Probably newer than the 50s.
@ajnn @partim Wonderful! 😍 The layout and the structure of the digram wasn't that different than today. I tried to date the diagram, but it's quite difficult. My guess is between 1980 (after closing Tønder-Niebüll) and before 1993 (opening Snoghøj-Taulov). Another hint is the S-tog between Helsingør and Hillerød (1968-2006). Maybe someone else knows more in order to limit the possible date.
@larstransportworld @partim Yeah, just based on the graphical style of the diagram, some time in the 1980s seems very plausible.
@ajnn @larstransportworld Definitely way newer. I mentioned the fifties because then all the secondary lines were still there. They had quite the network back then …
