@bonno @gwagner to be fair, we’re talking about a state in India, way closer to the equator. Looking at e.g. Central/Northern Europe, the yearly distribution of sun varies a whole lot more. But yeah, we as humanity should be building way more of those batteries to power our life and houses, I’m with you on that.

On a sunny days I can get over the night with a 100W base load - just with a single standard-sized 400 Wp panel and 1.5kWh battery.

And that in Europe (Winnipeg/CAN latitude), in late february.

With a total investment of ~800€ that will last 10-50 years. Halve the price for bigger installations.

ROI in under 3 years.

Assuming 20 years lifetime, that's 4.5ct/kWh for a tiny-scale "installation".

@bonno @gwagner capacity. To make the switch, you need massive capacity. Prices will go down as well. So it can and will be done, will cost time, so let's get this moving as fast as possible. While at the same time increase solar and wind capacity and networks.
