πŸ–‹οΈ I was listening to a recent episode of The Pen Addict podcast and both Brad and Myke were saying they don't pick the ink first, rather the pen. I thought about it and realize I'm sometimes the opposite! πŸ˜† I think of what ink I want to use next and then think of a pen to pair with it. Not always, but a fair amount. #FountainPens #inks
@jezlyn When it's picking to ink, I choose the pen first. When I choose from an array of already inked pens, then I choose the ink first, hahaha.
@pixiecata I probably pick pen first most of the time, like now when I'm cleaning out a bunch of pens and want to refill them. But I realized that I also would think of an ink I wanted to use and then look at available pens because sometimes I want the ink with a specific nib, like a chromoshader in an architect or long blade nib that'll show off shading better than an EF or F. Or I want to put a wet ink into a pen with a drier nib to tame the flow. It all depends. πŸ™‚
@jezlyn I used to pick pen first and then ink, but since my ink collection grew quite a bit, I've changed my routine and now it's ink first.
@Parker51 Yeah, my ink library is pretty large compared to my pen collection, so I try to use different inks and rotate among pens. So sometimes I "have" to choose ink first.
