what was linkedin for
@RikerGoogling Asking myself that a lot lately...
@RikerGoogling for peasants to beg for work and money and lords to expound to the masses on the clear wisdom of their bright intellects
@RikerGoogling And how long was linked in for what
@RikerGoogling Mutual and self congratulatory suckfest for C-level executives.
@RikerGoogling a *very* niche pornography fetish.
@RikerGoogling Dickheads in sales who believe Myers-Briggs isnโ€™t phrenology for HR.
@RikerGoogling No one really knew that at the time, let alone centuries in the future.

@RikerGoogling More than 20 years ago, I was introduced to a new contact via LinkedIn, which ended up setting me up for life.

The software company that we had been running as a break-even start-up for a few years suddenly went from two owners and two employees in the first four years to 10 more employees in the next four years, and eventual acquisition by the company of that contact to become the 50 strong software team for a listed company.

But, in the same time, LinkedIn has become a worthless piece of shit.

@RikerGoogling Itโ€™s the only place on earth where a guy can describe getting fired as a 'pivotal growth opportunity' or post a five-paragraph essay about how a soggy ham sandwich taught him everything he needs to know about B2B sales strategy.
