5 hrs of sleep. Then 2½ hrs of work catch up (still Friday in the US) - so I can have the weekend at least a bit in Japan. Now off to coffee and maybe light breakfast

Wandering in Meguro, just outside of Tokyo now.
There's some temple fair also besides the morning prayer and chants.

Having just the finest relaxing Saturday morning at the park in the temple with the fair smells and sights and sampling a bit of the eats.
Curry and weiner/sausage taiyaki and imagawa yaki (called differently in other parts) with regular bean paste (anko) inside and also the cheese kind.

Picking up some fresh blended hot 10 juumi (not shichi7 mi ) togarashi - and lovely hot one, after a taste too.

And there was this ungagi kabayaki place we passed on the way to the temple, so decided to try w bit. Took it back to the temple park.
Ah, sitting on the park rocks, eating unagi. What a blissful morning

Lunch (ramen) deserves its own thread. First time I reserved a spot for ramen (a week in advance when the reservations open) - so that'll be later. First to while a bit of time and work up an appetite we stopped here...
