So, the UK are actually trying to ban the creation and possession of "incest porn" and, quote, "whether those appearing are actually related or not" because "We want everyone to be aware of what a healthy consensual relationship is"?

So...consensually doing incest roleplay with your adult, consenting partner(s) is NOT a healthy, consensual relationship then?

Gods, thanks so much for telling me, and here I was, thinking me and adult, consenting, possible partners would be able to decide that!

Now, the law(s) also encompass several non-consensual things. I can totally understand that!

But that specific, explicitly fictional RP stuff, people might do is THEIR stuff!

Onlyfans bans porn with urine, BTW.

That said:

Three 'horrific' types of porn are being made illegal in the UK

The UK Government has proposed new laws to criminalise screenshotting intimate videos, semen-defaced images, and porn depicting incest.

Metro

Neither of those are my personal kinks.
But that's, once again, how shit starts!

Next they'll try to get rid of BDSM because "consensual control and pain leads to people actually wanting to hurt others without consent" or some bullshit?! Like they said in the article, fictional incest leading to abuse?!

No?! Being a fucking abuser leads to abuse!

"I'm not here to tell anyone what they are able to do in their bedroom when it is safe, legal and consensual."

Erm, yes? By making safe, consensual stuff ILLEGAL, you ARE telling people exactly that!

If people wanna RP such stuff and keep movies of that to themselves or whatever, that's their choice!

Or maybe these websites just explain the plans really bad.

Let people consensually do whatever!

@BryanGreyson there are two things that make this all very complex:

1) It's not clear that fiction doesn't spill into reality, that themes don't become normalised and bleed from one to the other. Certainly, there have been too many incidents of non-consensual strangling, following the trend for it in porn.

2) Porn sites are not clear on the consent or identity of participants, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality.

I agree, in principle, that fully consenting adults should be allowed to do pretty much whatever they want, including watching other fully consenting adults doing stuff. But across society, there is a very big problem with lack of consent. Until we can fix that, maybe we shouldn't feed abusers the concept that certain acts are normal?
