Zohran Mamdani had +38 approval upon his election. In under 2 months he’s:
•Secured universal childcare
•Paid New Yorkers $30/hour & survived a blizzard without disruption
•Remained wholly honest about the massive budget crisis NYC faces
•Demanded Hochul tax billionaires instead of working people
•Got Trump to commit $12B to NYC for affordable housing, and
•Did it ALL without corporate money

His approval is now +48.

Almost like working people love public servants who fight for working people.🤯

@QasimRashid Am I reading right he has an approval rating of 98%?!
@disorderlyf No, the + just indicates the approval rating is positive, doesn’t it?
@polarweasel by 48 points, which I don't think is possible without 98% approval unless a large amount of undecided votes were cast

@disorderlyf It appears that it just means 48% of voters approve of the job he’s doing (and at that time 32% disapproved)

@polarweasel Why do I get the impression approval ratings in America are broken?
@disorderlyf Bahahahaha now that’s a completely separate question 🤣
@polarweasel @disorderlyf ah weird i really thought +48 was (approval - disaproval), but it seems to just be really only about half of the people approving, 32% disaproving, and a lot of people in the middle (i'm constantly surprised by how many people have no opinion).
