@foone US$1400 for electricity bill feels astonishingly expensive for me. I'm curious what's the cost per kWh in your area. FYI, here in Shanghai our cost is less than US$0.15 per kWh.

@oldherl we're on PG&E (which means it could be as high as 0.67/kWh depending on time) and that's the power usage for 6-7 people and a server rack (plus natural gas for a stove & water heater, and I don't even know how much that costs)
