I knew our daughter was struggling, but her psychological assessment this week has sent her into a serious downward spiral.
She's been taken home by the police today after leaving a Crisis Cafe in a distressed state.
I'm trying to encourage her to put the assessment behind her, but I'm not sure we're on the same wavelength.

Just venting. Nothing anyone can do.

Now she's admitted to hoarding medication as a 'safety blanket' FFS.
I've persuaded her to hand them in to the on-site carers. I hope she is doing.

It's exactly this behaviour that lost her the last sheltered accommodation she was in.

@MikeFromLFE It must be such a worry for you. I hope she is able to regain her equilibrium a bit and move on, although for the time being maybe distracting from her distress/trauma could be the best way forward?

@LJClements8
Thanks.
She's got her coping strategies, but sometimes struggles to use them.

(For context, she's been in & out of in-patient psychiatric care for about 9 years due to the effects of an abusive marriage. Until a couple of years ago she was suicidal on a regular basis. She has a primary diagnosis of PTSD).

@MikeFromLFE It's awful the damage other people can cause to a person's mental health. Have things improved at all?
