i follow the #art tag and i’ve seen an explosion of accounts at .social with the following handle pattern:

@Curated{name of artist}

when you go the profile of @CuratedVelazquez it doesn't identify who created the bot; which is by my guesstimate, close to 100 different artists by now.

what’s worse is that, if these are being scraped, the scrapers are not including any information about title, subject, year created, neither in the body of the post or AltTxt.

been wondering if it’s AISlop.

@blogdiva @CuratedVelazquez I wonder if this is the beginning of an influence-peddling campaign where the accounts will start spewing some political nonsense once they've hit some marker for "engagement".
