Labour suffered a seismic defeat in the Gorton and Denton by-election, finishing a distant third with 25% of the vote behind the Green Party (41%) and second-placed Reform UK (29%). The new Green MP, 34-year-old plumber Hannah Spencer, says the victory is proof the party can “win anywhere”. Independent observers reported “concerningly high levels” of family voting, the illegal practice of multiple people entering the poll booth together.
@kibcol1049 Family Voting that isn't important until it doesn't go your way...

@Bez_Lightyear @kibcol1049

Voting Green is a form of #familyvoting where the kids tell their rightwing parents to go fuck themselves.

Folks who have kids, and then who don't make any effort to ensure a better world for their kids, shouldn't have had them in the first place.

@kibcol1049 note that the electoral officials deny this, and that the protests from Reform were AFTER the event, when it is possible to challenge any irregularities as they happen.
