@jsnell tl;dr, but how could a Netflix partnership be at all surprising after "Drive to Survive" ushered Americans from "F1? Aren't those the Indy cars on street courses?" to "fuck Indy."
@kingtor because Apple and Netflix don't get along and Netflix doesn't license its content to others. And yet.
@jsnell True, but if you want F1, you're going to have to dance with the devil. Although come to think of it, Liberty Media is probably the devil both Netflix and Apple have to kiss up to.
@jsnell oh, just read the previously tl;dr article. Yeah, Apple had to cooperate with Netflix to get Drive to Survive; Netflix with Apple to get the Canadian Grand Prix. I still say Liberty is the 2,000 pound gorilla in this deal, though.
