The soul inhabits the keyboard and rests there a little.
@NanoRaptor a true left-handed keyboard also should have the numblock on the left hand side!
(Keychron afaik actually has one keyboard layout with left sided numblock)
@NanoRaptor the arrows are the wrong way around
@NanoRaptor if the keypad and keys were on the left it would be a left-handed keyboard.
It still looks perfect for right-to-left languages.
@NanoRaptor I love the flexibility available regarding the left and right cursor keys, depending on whether you use the numpad or dedicated keys.
@NanoRaptor Question: If you press the key with the → arrow on it, which way does the cursor move?
@NanoRaptor
The arrows on 4 and 6 of the numpad still having the original directions is especially evil.
@Takiro @NanoRaptor
You need that for old flight sims
@NanoRaptor the future of keyboard layouts is here

@NanoRaptor

The most evil part are those arrow keys!

If someone was using this keyboard, they could probably summon the focus and concentration to use it after a while.

Then, they'd use the arrow keys, and their brain and fingers would immediately revert to the comfortable habits of the past, and they would swear mightily, and curse unto StarLink the name of the inventor of this abomination.

@NanoRaptor
I'm sure @foone made one of these once...
@NanoRaptor
but why isn't numpad on the left too

@NanoRaptor So, years ago I was hitching a ride with friends to an event outside of town. He was driving, his wife was giving directions. Apparently he had problems with "left"/"right", but they had an ingenious solution: His wife would announce turns with "F1"/"F12".
As in: Turn to F12 over there.

Anyway, what I wanted so say, was: AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

@NanoRaptor I am apalled that you didn't scramble the F-keys :p

And why is there order in the keypad?

9 8 7
4 6 5
3 2 1

Much better.

@thor @NanoRaptor
Too predictable, go with the telephone layout

@NanoRaptor

quite perfect for me as a left handed user. Is there also a version available with number pad on the left?

@NanoRaptor This is the layout of the Star Trek mirror universe. I can understand why they are all evil.
@NanoRaptor This is amazing and brilliant. I hate it.
@NanoRaptor No, to the numbers, that is chaotic evil
@BernardSheppard @NanoRaptor The part that weirds me out the most is that all the parens/braces are standing back-to-back, instead of facing each other!
@NanoRaptor Isn't it a bit half-hearted to leave the keypad on the right?
@NanoRaptor oh hey, it’s the mirror universe keyboard. As you’d expect, computers started out extremely popular, then gradually became less so. Which is one reason I didn’t hang around (besides all the evil moustachioed baddies).
@NanoRaptor that still looks easier to learn than Dvorak
@NanoRaptor And here I thought I was evil for internally giggling when anybody else, such as the IT person, tries to use my keyboards with control remapped to be left of A, where it belongs. I need to make one of these and learn to use it.

@NanoRaptor I saw the caption and my first thought was: “Do I *really* want to zoom in to see what sublime horror has been wrought this time?”

…But the need to know was not to be resisted, a dark compulsion… and it wasn’t as bad as feared.

Maybe next time!

@NanoRaptor I didn't know they made left-handed keyboards...
@NanoRaptor hrmm, we are plural and have a split fully wireless keyboard, this makes sense now

@NanoRaptor

Uhhhh, cursed keyboard.
I like.
Does it come in ZREUQ too?

@NanoRaptor oh wow, that would've been a lot of work to create. Nice!
@NanoRaptor I don't know why, but it's the arrow keys that get me.

@NanoRaptor wait, that must be one of the variants of Dvorak.

Wait, why is J on the home row?

<light dawns>
