One of the most hilariously bad translations has actually been the German translation of the game "Don't Starve" back then. (I think it's fixed now).

Examples:

- Chest (the thing you put things and gold and such into) was translated to the word for Chest (breast)

But even more hilarious:

- Log, as in, wood log, after chopping down a tree

Was translated into...wait for it...
"Verarbeitungsprotokoll" which means... "processing protocol" so, a "log file", as in tech.

YES, you chopped trees and got an item with SUUUUUUUUUUUCH a long name, and then built stuff from log files. 😅

@BryanGreyson oh and I was thinking the german Translation in persona was bad, but this is really worse xD
In persona 3 Aigis said to a male "Freundin" and "Feindin" and I was like oh I didnt know he is trans xD otherwise I just see several grammar mistakes or that sometimes the answers of the Protagonist doesn't make sense to the context.
Bad Translation are funny to me. I am always thinking why no one control this xD
@fennek In Persona 5, I appreciate it having a translation at all starting with "Royal", they translated a "counter" as in ... in a bar counter ("Theke") with "Konter" (countering an attack), so you can basically "konter" as an action in the bar, which is hilarious. 😁😅
@BryanGreyson yes I love that Persona finally gets a translation too, just wish they would take more effort in it but ok this way its funny xD
I have start now with Persona 5 because I finish 3. This Time I have to finish this Game. Persona 5 is the only one I never played to the end but ok I must say I am always lost and maybe this was a reason. The train Station was first overwhelming for me too, I would be late to school not because of a castle xD
