Okay so no one told me you’re supposed to sell RSUs and diversify, and I’m embarrassed to say how much money I’ve lost over that lack of information.
I guarantee I’m the only person in my family who even knows what RSUs are.
I’m aware there are books and financial advisors, but it’s frustrating that personal finance is something I have to figure out on my own, much like so many other things in my life as the eldest child of immigrants. Sigh.
@paolamata I'm heavy in AAPL, but my diversification strategy is just working on paying off the house. So it goes up, I pay more on the house.
Many people say this is dumb, but they (general waving) can't take my house if it's fully paid off. Makes me sleep better.
@paolamata I'm pretty boring on regular investing. I just look at what mutual funds has a 5 year track record I like, and click.
No background, training or advice from family cause they never cared to get into it themselves.
