@mastodonmigration @benroyce yup, I don't care about sports in general, hockey particularly not, but if it produces role models like her, then it's totally worth it.

This has also highlighted one thing that was always stood out to me: I grew up watching women's sports and it was comparably popular to men's (except for soccer). Then in the US, there's this posturing about "saving women's sports", but americans don't seem to actually care about women's sports.
